Hearing Tests

As part of our hearing assessment appointments, we offer the following tests:

• Pure Tone Audiometry - also known as a hearing test, this enables us to identify whether you have a hearing loss.

• Tympanometry - this tests the function of the middle ear.

• Speech Testing - similar to a hearing test but with spoken words, this test will help us to understand how well you can hear and understand conversation.

• Loudness discomfort levels (LDL) - this enables us to identify the point at which you find sounds uncomfortable.

• Most comfortable level (MCL) - used to identify the level of sound where you find sounds to be most comfortable to listen to.
